1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website and to enquiries and bookings made with The Encore, an event venue in Midrand, Gauteng. By using the website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Enquiries, availability and bookings

• Information on this website, including packages, capacity, features and imagery, is a general guide and may change without notice.
• Submitting an enquiry, availability check or booking request does not guarantee a date. A date is only secured once The Encore has confirmed it to you in writing.
• Prices, deposits, payment schedules, inclusions and any venue-specific conditions are set out in the written quote or booking confirmation we send you. That document takes precedence over general website information.

3. Payments, cancellations and changes

Payment terms, deposit requirements, cancellation and rescheduling conditions are recorded in your written quote or booking confirmation. Please read them carefully before confirming your event. If you need to change or cancel a booking, contact us as early as possible so we can assist within the terms you agreed.

4. Your responsibilities as a client

• Provide accurate information about your event, guest numbers and requirements.
• Make sure your guests, suppliers and contractors behave responsibly and follow the venue rules and reasonable staff instructions.
• Take responsibility for damage to the venue, equipment or property caused by you, your guests or your suppliers, as detailed in your booking confirmation.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including those relating to noise, safety, capacity and the sale or supply of alcohol.

5. Venue rules and safety

The Encore may refuse entry to, or remove, any person whose conduct puts people or property at risk. Event capacity, safety, security and access requirements must be respected at all times.

6. Photography and media

The Encore may photograph or film the venue and events for promotional purposes, unless you tell us in writing before your event that you do not consent. We will not publish identifiable images of private guests where you have asked us not to.

7. Website content and intellectual property

All text, images, logos, floor plans, downloadable documents and design on this website belong to The Encore or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission.

8. Third-party links

This website links to third-party services such as social media platforms and WhatsApp. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those services.

9. Limitation of liability

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but it is provided as is. To the extent permitted by South African law, The Encore is not liable for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other laws that cannot be excluded.
